Being together we learn to understand that pain, fear and mistrust are the same for the Palestinian Arab and the Jew in our country and anywhere in the world. The youth, the work and the egalitarian meeting that we've had have empowered my wish to work for peace.

"I met at the fire a dream realizing itself. I have been wanting to be part of something like this for a long while"
Moshe- (Jewish participant)
We belong to four groups - Palestinians from Bethlehem, Jericho, Jenin, Nablus, ranging from devoutly religious to secular, who share the desire to create relationships with Israelis. Israelis from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, from kibbutzim and development towns, religious and secular, who seek direct contact with Palestinians. And Israeli Palestinians, who come from towns across the country. At the Tribal Fires, we also host guests from Europe, Asia, and the United States, and enable them to participate in English-speaking listening circles. We span diverse age groups - people in their twenties and thirties meet with others in their fifties and sixties. Some are academics, others are laborers. Some are long-time peace activists, others are curious first-timers.
We are led by a mixed Palestinian-Israeli 10-person management team.
